Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for complex procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments per OSHA and AORN standards
- Inventory and manage surgical equipment/electronics
- Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Train junior staff on updated surgical protocols
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- 2+ years of recent OR experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification from recognized provider
- Knowledge of sterile processing and instrument care
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced surgical environments
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to cover various surgical specialties
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred)
