As part of our team, you will play a critical role in the operating room, supporting surgeons and nurses to ensure smooth, successful procedures every day.
Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during procedures, anticipating their needs for instruments and supplies.
- Prepare operating rooms by arranging sterile equipment and supplies.
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques to prevent infection.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any abnormalities to the surgical team.
- Handle specimen processing and ensure accurate documentation.
- Transport patients to and from the operating suite safely.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center.
- BLS and ACLS certifications must be current.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and anatomy.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods.
