Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce infection control protocols
- Count and account for surgical instruments and supplies pre/post-procedure
- Operate surgical equipment including endoscopic cameras and sterilizers
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Document procedural activities in electronic health records accurately
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential
- Minimum 1 year of experience in hospital OR setting
- Knowledge of sterile processing and sterilization techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Strong understanding of surgical terminology and procedures
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
