Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide medication reminders and assist with light health-related tasks under supervision.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning based on dietary needs.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, vacuuming, and dusting, to maintain a clean living environment.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients through conversation and active listening.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, social outings, and errands as needed.
- Monitor client well-being and report any changes in condition or concerns to the nursing team immediately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification is preferred.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient and empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and transferring patients.
- Pass a background check and drug screening.
- Previous experience in home health or caregiving is a plus but not mandatory.
