Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile equipment and instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures with instrument passing and supply management
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce infection control protocols
- Handle surgical equipment sterilization and maintenance
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments pre/post-procedure
- Transport patients and prepare surgical sites
- Document procedural details accurately
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years OR experience preferred
- Knowledge of sterile processing and sterilization techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Strong attention to detail and protocol adherence
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Current BLS certification
