Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging surgical instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Monitor inventory and order surgical supplies to ensure seamless operations
- Document procedural details accurately in electronic health records
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA and AORN safety protocols
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- 2+ years of recent operating room experience
- Proficiency in sterile processing and instrument handling
- Knowledge of orthopedic/general surgical procedures
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Current BLS/CPR certification
