Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields before surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to strict infection control protocols
- Count surgical instruments and supplies before, during, and after procedures
- Transport patients to and from operating rooms with care and precision
- Manage surgical equipment and troubleshoot technical issues
- Document procedural information accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Background check and drug screening required
