Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures
- Process and label specimens following HIPAA compliance protocols
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment (centrifuges, analyzers)
- Provide patient education on pre-test preparation procedures
- Document clinical data with precision in EHR systems
- Collaborate with medical team on specimen handling protocols
- Maintain sterile work environments and inventory control
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP/NCCT)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in fast-paced environments
- Valid Nevada state phlebotomy license
- BLS/CPR certification from recognized provider
- Proficiency in venipuncture techniques for diverse patient populations
- Exceptional attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings/weekends
