Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields according to infection control protocols
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain accurate surgical instrument counts and documentation
- Manage sterile processing and equipment sterilization
- Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
- Ensure proper handling of biohazardous materials and waste disposal
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- 1+ years of recent surgical tech experience preferred
- BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Knowledge of sterile processing standards (AAMI/SPD)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ lbs
- Strong attention to detail and emergency response skills
- Completion of accredited surgical technology program
