Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for complex procedures
- Assist surgeons and nurses during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques to prevent surgical site infections
- Count and account for all surgical items pre/post-procedure
- Operate specialized equipment including endoscopic cameras and robotic systems
- Prepare and transport patients safely to/from operating rooms
- Document surgical cases accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years recent OR experience preferred
- Graduate of accredited surgical technology program
- Proficiency in sterile processing and instrument sterilization
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and emergency response skills
- Experience with multiple surgical specialties (ortho, neuro, general)
