Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for all procedure types
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques throughout surgical procedures
- Count and account for all surgical items before and after operations
- Prepare and transport patients to/from operating rooms
- Operate and troubleshoot advanced surgical equipment
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists and circulating nurses
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year recent OR experience
- BLS certification current and active
- Knowledge of sterile processing standards
- Ability to stand for 8+ hours in fast-paced environments
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Experience with electronic health records systems
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds safely
