Responsibilities
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations including prescription verification, compounding, and inventory management
- Mentor and train pharmacy technician staff on advanced dispensing protocols and regulatory compliance
- Implement quality assurance measures to ensure 100% prescription accuracy and patient safety
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy management programs
- Manage controlled substance inventory and documentation with DEA compliance
- Utilize advanced pharmacy software for prescription processing and patient profiles
- Lead patient consultation sessions on medication usage and potential side effects
Qualifications
- Active Tennessee Pharmacy Technician License (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in retail or hospital pharmacy setting
- Advanced knowledge of FDA regulations and pharmacy compliance standards
- Certification in Medication Therapy Management (MTM) preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Strong leadership skills with proven team management experience
- Exceptional attention to detail and mathematical accuracy for dosing calculations
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments with multiple priorities
