Responsibilities
- Accurately code medical services using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS guidelines
- Submit electronic claims to insurance payers and track claim status
- Resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies through effective follow-up
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and billing standards
- Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries and payment plans
- Generate monthly reports on key revenue cycle metrics
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure documentation accuracy
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certification (CPC, CPC-A, or CPB) strongly preferred
- Proficiency in medical billing software (e.g., Epic, Medisoft)
- Expert knowledge of insurance claim processes and reimbursement rules
