Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments and equipment
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Monitor inventory and order surgical supplies/equipment
- Ensure proper sterilization and handling of biohazardous materials
- Document procedural details accurately in electronic health records
- Maintain patient safety protocols throughout surgical procedures
- Collaborate with surgical team for seamless case turnover
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- 1+ years of recent operating room experience preferred
- Knowledge of sterile processing and infection control protocols
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle emergency situations
- Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Pass background check and drug screening
