Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields with premium equipment provided
- Assist surgeons during procedures with instrument passing and sterile supply management
- Operate advanced surgical technology including robotic and endoscopic systems
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, AORN, and hospital safety protocols
- Manage inventory and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and surgical safety checklists
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential required
- Minimum 2 years recent OR experience in general surgery
- Proficiency with robotic surgery systems (da Vinci preferred)
- Current BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing standards
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced surgical environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to cover on-call shifts and weekends
