We are looking for a team member who is reliable, compassionate, and ready to support surgical teams in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Preparation: Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures by arranging sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Assistance: Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and materials, anticipating their needs.
- Aseptic Technique: Maintain strict aseptic technique to prevent infection and ensure a sterile field for every procedure.
- Inventory Management: Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures to ensure zero loss.
- Patient Support: Transport patients to and from the operating room and assist in preparing them for anesthesia.
- Documentation: Accurately record patient information, medical history, and procedural details.
Qualifications
- Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certification Eligibility required.
- CPR: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or surgical setting.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent; completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of surgical anatomy, sterilization procedures, and surgical equipment.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to work under pressure, and a high level of attention to detail.
