Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile equipment and supplies before procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Handle surgical instruments and equipment sterilization per hospital protocols
- Monitor inventory and restock operating rooms with provided supplies
- Document equipment usage and maintenance in electronic health records
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure seamless procedural flow
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year recent operating room experience
- Proficiency with sterilization equipment and surgical instrumentation
- Knowledge of sterile processing protocols (AAMI standards)
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced surgical environments
