Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team in preparing the operating room and patient for procedures.
- Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during operations, anticipating needs.
- Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to strict aseptic techniques and protocols.
- Monitor and manage surgical equipment and sterilization processes.
- Prepare and organize surgical trays with precision.
- Transport patients to and from the operating suite safely.
- Document surgical counts and patient information accurately.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of surgical anatomy, medical terminology, and aseptic technique.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced OR environment.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
