Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile operating rooms and equipment before surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile fields and ensure aseptic technique compliance
- Handle surgical specimens for laboratory analysis
- Inventory and restock operating room supplies
- Transport patients to/from surgical suites
- Adhere to OSHA and infection control protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior surgical tech experience necessary
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
- Basic computer literacy for documentation systems
- Must pass pre-employment background check
- Commitment to complete hospital certification program
- Valid CPR certification (will be provided if needed)
