Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to prioritize patient care based on acuity
- Document clinical observations accurately in Epic EHR system
- Provide clear communication to patients and families during wait times
- Oversee triage station operations during peak hours
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and state nursing regulations
- Participate in emergency response drills and process improvement
Qualifications
- Active Arizona RN license (compact license accepted)
- Minimum 3 years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency with ESI triage methodology
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Experience with electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
