Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile instruments and equipment for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile fields and adhere to strict aseptic protocols
- Transport patients and specimens safely within surgical suites
- Inventory and organize surgical supplies and equipment
- Document procedural activities accurately in electronic health records
- Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior surgical experience necessary – training provided
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred but not required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and sterile technique awareness
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
