Responsibilities
- Assess incoming patient calls and determine acuity level using established protocols
- Provide telephone triage services to patients with acute and chronic conditions
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate patient care
- Document all interactions accurately in the electronic health record system
- Educate patients on appropriate care settings and self-management strategies
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental committees
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Florida
- Minimum 2 years of emergency department or triage experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and de-escalation abilities
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
