Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and patient comfort
- Process and transport specimens to laboratories while maintaining chain of custody
- Verify patient identification and maintain accurate electronic health records
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare teams via telehealth platforms for remote consultations
- Train on new phlebotomy technologies and documentation systems
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASPT, NCCT, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- Proficiency with telehealth software and remote documentation tools
- Strong understanding of venipuncture techniques and specimen handling
- Ability to work independently while maintaining quality standards
- Excellent interpersonal skills for virtual patient interactions
- Valid Ohio driver's license and reliable transportation
