Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for complex procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce OR protocols
- Manage surgical equipment sterilization and inventory
- Document perioperative procedures accurately
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams
- Participate in emergency surgeries and trauma cases
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- 2+ years recent OR experience preferred
- BLS certification with current AHA provider card
- Knowledge of sterile processing and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to stand for extended periods in fast-paced settings
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
