Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, sterile fields, and surgical instruments according to established protocols
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and sterile supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and implement aseptic techniques throughout surgical cases
- Document surgical counts and equipment usage with precision
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless perioperative care
- Participate in remote case preparation and post-operative documentation
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience in general surgery
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to work independently during remote prep phases
- Valid Texas Surgical Tech license
- Excellent communication skills for hybrid team coordination
- Ability to stand for extended periods during on-site shifts
