Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments and equipment
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile fields and enforce infection control protocols
- Count and document surgical instruments and supplies
- Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing teams for patient care
- Handle specimens for laboratory analysis
- Participate in inventory management of surgical supplies
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- 1+ years of recent surgical tech experience
- Knowledge of sterile processing and aseptic techniques
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends/weekends
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Commitment to patient safety and quality standards
