Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments and equipment.
- Assist surgeons and nursing staff during procedures, anticipating their needs.
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques to prevent infection.
- Monitor and handle specimens accurately for lab analysis.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort before, during, and after surgery.
- Document procedures and maintain accurate medical records.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or surgical setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical anatomy and sterilization procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
