Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce aseptic techniques
- Count and account for all surgical instruments, sponges, and needles
- Prepare and transport specimens for laboratory analysis
- Operate sterilization equipment and maintain instrument inventory
- Collaborate with surgical team to ensure efficient patient flow
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year of recent surgical tech experience
- Graduate of accredited surgical technology program
- Knowledge of sterile processing and sterilization techniques
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments with precision
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Current BLS certification
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
