Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by setting up sterile fields, instruments, and equipment
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile environments
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgical procedures
- Prepare and transport patients to/from operating rooms
- Clean and sterilize equipment following strict infection control protocols
- Document procedural actions and maintain accurate surgical records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of accredited surgical technology program
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Minimum 1 year recent OR experience
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Strong attention to detail and sterile technique proficiency
