Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily patient care including bathing, feeding, and mobility assistance
- Monitor vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
- Assist with medical procedures and maintain patient hygiene
- Document patient observations accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control protocols
- Support patient emotional well-being through active communication
Qualifications
- Active Indiana CNA certification required
- Minimum 1 year acute care hospital experience preferred
- CPR/BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts including weekends
- Pass background check and drug screening
