Responsibilities
- Direct Patient Care: Assess patient conditions, administer medications, and implement treatment plans as prescribed by physicians.
- Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and electronic health records (EHR) in strict compliance with hospital standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
- Health Education: Educate patients and families on post-care instructions, disease prevention, and health maintenance.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety rounds to maintain a high standard of care.
Qualifications
- License: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
- Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (ACLS preferred based on unit assignment).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of recent acute care or relevant nursing experience.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel and adapt to different hospital environments and shift schedules.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy and teamwork.
