Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care in emergency/trauma units, ICUs, or specialized departments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and diagnostic procedures with precision
- Document patient progress accurately in electronic health records (EHRs)
- Adhere to JCAHO standards, HIPAA regulations, and hospital protocols
- Provide mentorship to staff nurses during patient handovers and care transitions
- Participate in rapid response codes and emergency interventions
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Maryland or compact state
- BSN preferred (ADN accepted with 2+ years experience)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in specialty area
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Experience with Epic or Cerner EHR systems
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts (days/nights/weekends)
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Travel nursing experience preferred but not required
