Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in accordance with hospital protocols and state regulations.
- Assess patient needs, develop individualized care plans, and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and licensed providers.
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Monitor patient conditions and report any changes or emergencies immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized nursing unit environment.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in the specialty area.
- Ability to travel to various facilities within the Virginia Beach area as required.
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Willingness to submit to a background check and drug screen.
