Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in diverse clinical settings including ICU, ER, and Med-Surg
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation per facility standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO, HIPAA, and state nursing regulations
- Provide patient and family education on health conditions and treatment protocols
- Participate in emergency response and rapid assessment situations
- Utilize remote telehealth platforms for virtual consults when applicable
Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing with the Louisiana State Board of Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in specialty area
- Current BLS, ACLS, and relevant certifications (e.g., TNCC, ENPC)
- Proficient in EHR systems with strong documentation skills
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
- Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local travel
- Strong communication skills with remote team capabilities
