Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in assigned clinical specialty (ICU, ER, MedSurg, etc.)
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes in condition
- Document patient assessments and care plans in EMR systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO and facility protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain sterile technique and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in District of Columbia
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and specialty certifications as required
- BSN degree preferred (ADN accepted with experience)
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EPIC, Cerner)
- Ability to adapt to new clinical environments
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Flexibility for 13-week assignments
