Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in assigned specialty unit (ICU, ER, MedSurg)
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Monitor patient vital signs and document electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Implement patient education and discharge planning
- Adhere to JCAHO and facility-specific protocols
- Participate in shift handoffs and safety initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas or compact state
- 2+ years recent acute care experience
- BLS/ACLS certifications required
- Telemetry or ICU experience preferred
- Flexibility for 8/12-hour shifts
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to adapt to new environments quickly
- Valid driver's license for housing placement
