The Role
As a Travel RN, you will provide high-quality patient care in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, medical centers, and clinics. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, administering medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with physicians and the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by licensed healthcare providers.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans based on clinical changes.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to safety protocols and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent nursing experience in a clinical setting.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to new environments and protocols.
- Flexibility to travel to various healthcare facilities within the San Antonio area.
