Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Triage incoming patients based on acuity and medical urgencyCommunicate critical information to physicians and care teams
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Coordinate patient flow and resource allocation
- Provide education to patients and families on care pathways
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or triage experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional communication and de-escalation abilities
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- BSN preferred (ADN with relevant experience considered)
