Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone and in-person patient assessments to determine acuity levels
- Collaborate with physicians to develop appropriate care plans and disposition strategies
- Document clinical encounters accurately in Epic EHR systems
- Provide emergency medical guidance and triage protocols per ENA standards
- Coordinate patient flow between emergency departments and specialty units
- Educate patients on symptoms requiring immediate medical attention
- Manage high-pressure situations with calm professionalism
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and emergency department protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Colorado (CO)
- Minimum 3 years ED or urgent care experience
- CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) or TNCC certification required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Expertise in EHR documentation systems
- Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification
- Exceptional critical thinking and prioritization skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
