Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize cases in emergency settings using advanced triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to develop efficient treatment plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with detailed clinical documentation
- Provide compassionate patient education and discharge instructions
- Oversee medical assistant staff and delegate clinical tasks effectively
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency drills
- Stay updated on latest medical protocols and technological advancements
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Louisiana with 3+ years emergency/trauma experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN or higher degree preferred
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong proficiency in Epic EMR systems
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Experience mentoring junior nursing staff
