Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone and in-person patient assessments using standardized protocols
- Prioritize cases based on medical urgency and severity using ESI criteria
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to coordinate patient care pathways
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Provide clear patient education on home care instructions and follow-up protocols
- Support emergency department flow during high-volume periods
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska
- Minimum 2 years emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional communication and de-escalation abilities
- Experience with Epic EHR systems preferred
