Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using Emergency Severity Index (ESI) protocols
- Triage patients based on acuity level and allocate appropriate resources
- Initiate emergency interventions for life-threatening conditions
- Coordinate with physicians, specialists, and ancillary departments
- Document clinical observations using Epic EMR system
- Educate patients and families on emergency procedures
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (BRN #)
- Minimum 3 years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency in ESI triage methodology
- Strong assessment skills for diverse patient populations
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Epic EMR system experience preferred
- Spanish bilingual skills a plus
