Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone triage and in-person evaluations to determine acuity level
- Collaborate with physicians to prioritize patient cases based on medical urgency
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Provide clear patient education and discharge instructions
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for seamless care transitions
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency preparedness drills
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Current California RN license with at least 2 years clinical experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong assessment skills in emergency/trauma settings
- Experience with Epic EHR systems preferred
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Spanish bilingual skills highly desirable
