Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments using ESI protocols to prioritize care in high-volume emergency settings
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop accurate treatment plans
- Document clinical observations using Epic EMR systems with 100% accuracy
- Provide telephone triage for remote patients using clinical decision support tools
- Maintain compliance with Joint Commission standards and HIPAA regulations
- Train new staff on triage protocols and emergency department workflows
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for patient flow optimization
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Ohio with minimum 2 years emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic EMR systems and telehealth triage platforms
- Strong critical thinking skills with ability to make rapid decisions
- Excellent communication skills for diverse patient interactions
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with 5+ years experience considered)
- Experience with ESI 5-level triage methodology
