Responsibilities
- Assess patient calls and visits using standardized triage protocols to determine urgency and appropriate care level
- Provide clinical guidance and education to patients regarding symptoms, home care, and when to seek immediate medical attention
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and care teams to coordinate seamless patient transitions
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation per regulatory standards
- Monitor patient flow and adjust staffing assignments based on acuity and census
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous process optimization
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Wisconsin
- Minimum 3 years emergency room or urgent care experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Proficient in electronic health record systems (EPIC preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and de-escalation abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, high-stress environments
