Responsibilities
- Assess patients' medical conditions via phone triage to determine urgency and appropriate care level
- Provide expert clinical guidance to patients experiencing acute symptoms or injuries
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care pathways
- Maintain accurate electronic health records while adhering to HIPAA compliance standards
- Train and mentor new triage staff on emergency protocols and patient communication
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for triage processes
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Florida
- Minimum 3 years of ER or urgent care experience
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Experience developing and implementing triage protocols
