Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and determine acuity levels using ESI protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to develop immediate treatment plans for critical cases
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with detailed triage documentation
- Provide clear patient education on emergency procedures and care pathways
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient flow through the ED
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for triage accuracy
- Act as clinical resource for patients and families during high-stress situations
Qualifications
- Active Arizona RN license with minimum 3 years ED/trauma experience
- Valid BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications
- Expertise in ESI 5-level triage methodology and emergency protocols
- Exceptional critical thinking and rapid decision-making abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to de-escalate anxious patients
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems and telehealth triage platforms
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
