Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to prioritize critical cases in high-pressure environments
- Document clinical findings accurately in Epic EHR systems
- Provide clear communication to patients/families during emergency situations
- Monitor vital signs and initiate emergency interventions per protocols
- Coordinate with ancillary departments for streamlined patient flow
- Maintain compliance with TJC and CMS standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (required)
- 3+ years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications
- Proficiency in triage assessment tools (ESI, MTS)
- Experience with electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in fast-paced environments
