Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize care based on clinical urgency using ESI protocols
- Conduct comprehensive telephone and in-person screenings for emergency patients
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely intervention
- Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EHR systems
- Provide compassionate communication to patients and families during high-stress situations
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and emergency department policies
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nevada with minimum 2 years ER experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency in triage protocols and emergency nursing standards
- Exceptional assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Strong communication skills for diverse patient interactions
- Experience with Epic EHR systems preferred
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure in high-volume settings
