Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone triage and prioritize cases based on urgency
- Collaborate with physicians to develop appropriate care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR systems
- Provide education to patients regarding home care and follow-up
- Monitor patient queues and optimize department workflow efficiency
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years ER or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Exceptional communication and empathy
- Experience with triage protocols and EHR systems
